Well it was a pretty good season in that I just happened to meet some right people and source some cow milk! We initially started off our milking season with stray dogs attacking our flock and killing 2 of our sheep. Our llama kept all of our lambs safe and 2 ewes and I’m guessing that the others got separated off and when there are 2 dogs what are the animals to do.

So we struggled with milk production lower than expected. The cow milk works well with our program. Pure pasture fed cow’s milk. We are making a Havarti style of cheese with this milk and it should be ready to eat at the end of August. Stay tuned!
